With Teaching Tips 💡

1. The Birth of Jesus

One night, Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem. There was no room in the inn, so they stayed in a stable with animals. Then, baby Jesus was born! Angels sang to shepherds, “Good news! A Savior is here!” A bright star shone in the sky, and everyone was so happy to meet the special
baby.

Memory Verse:

“A Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11, adapted)

Teaching Tips:

Wrap a doll in a blanket as baby Jesus, use a flashlight for the star, and make angel “whoosh” sounds. Let kids make star crafts with yellow paper and glitter while singing “Twinkle, Twinkle” with “A Savior is born” lyrics. Say the verse three times—point up for “Savior,”
hug yourself for “born to you,” and smile big!

2. Jesus Calms the Storm

Jesus and His friends were in a boat when—whoosh!—a big storm came. Waves splashed, and
the wind roared. The disciples were scared, but Jesus stood up and said, “Peace, be still!” The
storm stopped right away. “Wow,” they said, “Jesus is amazing!”

Memory Verse:

“He said to the storm, ‘Quiet! Be still!’” (Mark 4:39, adapted)

Teaching Tips:

Rock side to side like a boat and whisper “Peace, be still” dramatically. Use a
blue sheet as water—kids shake it for the storm, then freeze when Jesus calms it. Say the verse
loud, then quiet, cupping hands around ears for “He said” and holding palms out for “Quiet! Be
still!”

3. The Good Samaritan

A man got hurt on the road, and people walked by without helping. Then a kind stranger, a
Samaritan, stopped. He bandaged the man’s boo-boos, gave him a ride on his donkey, and paid
for a safe place to rest. Jesus said, “Be kind like that!”

Memory Verse:

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27, NIrV)

Teaching Tips:

Act it out—pick a “hurt” kid to lie down, then wrap a cloth “bandage” on them.
Kids draw a heart and write “Be Kind” inside. Say the verse pointing to a friend for “neighbor”
and patting your chest for “yourself”—repeat it silly and fast!

4. Jesus Feeds the 5,000

Lots of people were hungry, but there was only one boy with five loaves of bread and two fish.
He gave them to Jesus. Jesus prayed, and—poof!—the food grew and grew! Everyone ate until
they were full, and there were even leftovers. Sharing is awesome!

Memory Verse:

“Jesus said, ‘Give them something to eat.’” (John 6:10, adapted)

up for “Jesus said”—do it three times!

5. The Lost Sheep

A shepherd had 99 sheep, but one got lost. He left the others and searched high and low. “Baa!”

Zacchaeus was super short and couldn’t see Jesus over the crowd. So, he climbed a tree—up,
up, up! Jesus looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down! I’m coming to your house!”
Zacchaeus was so happy, he promised to be good from then on.

Memory Verse:

“The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10, NIrV)

Teaching Tips:

a tree and add a Zacchaeus figure. Say the verse with binoculars hands for “seek” and a wave
for “save”—do it fast and slow!

7. Jesus and the Children

Some grown-ups said, “Kids, don’t bother Jesus!” But Jesus smiled and said, “No, let them

self for “me”—repeat with a happy voice!

8. The Parable of the Sower

A farmer tossed seeds everywhere. Some landed on hard ground and didn’t grow. Some got

God’s words like good soil listens to seeds.”

Memory Verse:

“Listen and understand!” (Matthew 13:23, adapted)

be with you.”

Memory Verse:

“me”—repeat it softly three times!

11. Jesus Rises from the Dead

Jesus died on a cross, and His friends were sad. But three days later, on Easter, the tomb was
empty! An angel said, “He’s alive!” Jesus came back, smiling, and His friends danced with joy.
He beat death—what a surprise!

Memory Verse:

“He is not here; he has risen!” (Matthew 28:6, NIrV)

Teaching Tips:

with a paper plate and rolled-away stone. Say the verse shaking head for “not here” and
jumping for “risen”—do it with a big cheer!

12. Peter Walks on Water

Jesus walked on water to His friends’ boat. Peter said, “Me too!” He stepped out and
walked—wow!—but then he got scared and started to sink. “Help!” Jesus grabbed his hand and
pulled him up. “Trust me,” Jesus said.

Memory Verse:

a party!” Love wins!

shouted.

Memory Verse:

“I was blind, but now I see!” (John 9:25, adapted)

mud-colored watercolors. Say the verse covering eyes for “blind” and pointing to them for
“see”—repeat with a surprised voice!

15. The Wise and Foolish Builders

Two guys built houses. The wise one built on rock—strong and steady. The foolish one built on

said, “Build your life on my words!”
