One night, Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem. There was no room in the inn, so they stayed in a stable with animals. Then, baby Jesus was born! Angels sang to shepherds, âGood news! A Savior is here!â A bright star shone in the sky, and everyone was so happy to meet the special
baby.
âA Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.â (Luke 2:11, adapted)
Wrap a doll in a blanket as baby Jesus, use a flashlight for the star, and make angel âwhooshâ sounds. Let kids make star crafts with yellow paper and glitter while singing âTwinkle, Twinkleâ with âA Savior is bornâ lyrics. Say the verse three timesâpoint up for âSavior,â
hug yourself for âborn to you,â and smile big!
Jesus and His friends were in a boat whenâwhoosh!âa big storm came. Waves splashed, and
the wind roared. The disciples were scared, but Jesus stood up and said, âPeace, be still!â The
storm stopped right away. âWow,â they said, âJesus is amazing!â
âHe said to the storm, âQuiet! Be still!ââ (Mark 4:39, adapted)
Rock side to side like a boat and whisper âPeace, be stillâ dramatically. Use a
blue sheet as waterâkids shake it for the storm, then freeze when Jesus calms it. Say the verse
loud, then quiet, cupping hands around ears for âHe saidâ and holding palms out for âQuiet! Be
still!â
A man got hurt on the road, and people walked by without helping. Then a kind stranger, a
Samaritan, stopped. He bandaged the manâs boo-boos, gave him a ride on his donkey, and paid
for a safe place to rest. Jesus said, âBe kind like that!â
âLove your neighbor as yourself.â (Luke 10:27, NIrV)
Act it outâpick a âhurtâ kid to lie down, then wrap a cloth âbandageâ on them.
Kids draw a heart and write âBe Kindâ inside. Say the verse pointing to a friend for âneighborâ
and patting your chest for âyourselfâârepeat it silly and fast!
Lots of people were hungry, but there was only one boy with five loaves of bread and two fish.
He gave them to Jesus. Jesus prayed, andâpoof!âthe food grew and grew! Everyone ate until
they were full, and there were even leftovers. Sharing is awesome!
âJesus said, âGive them something to eat.ââ (John 6:10, adapted)
Tear real bread and hold toy fishâpass bread bits to kids. Make fish shapes
with playdough or paper. Say the verse pretending to hand out food for âGive themâ and pointing
up for âJesus saidââdo it three times!
A shepherd had 99 sheep, but one got lost. He left the others and searched high and low. âBaa!â
He found his little sheep stuck in a bush! He carried it home and threw a party. Jesus said, âI
love finding people who are lost, too!â

 Hide a paper sheep and let kids âbaaâ to find it. Glue cotton balls on a sheep
picture. Say the verse holding up one finger for âIâ and making a heart for âgood
shepherdâârepeat with a sheep âbaaâ voice!
Zacchaeus was super short and couldnât see Jesus over the crowd. So, he climbed a treeâup,
up, up! Jesus looked up and said, âZacchaeus, come down! Iâm coming to your house!â
Zacchaeus was so happy, he promised to be good from then on.
âThe Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.â (Luke 19:10, NIrV)
Have a kid climb a chair (safely!) and call out, âZacchaeus, come down!â Color
a tree and add a Zacchaeus figure. Say the verse with binoculars hands for âseekâ and a wave
for âsaveââdo it fast and slow!
Some grown-ups said, âKids, donât bother Jesus!â But Jesus smiled and said, âNo, let them
come! I love them!â He hugged the children and blessed them. Now every kid knows Jesus is
their friend.
âLet the little children come to me.â (Mark 10:14, NIrV)
Invite kids to sit close and give them a big âJesus hug.â Trace their hands and
write âJesus loves meâ on them. Say the verse beckoning with hands for âcomeâ and pointing to
self for âmeâârepeat with a happy voice!
A farmer tossed seeds everywhere. Some landed on hard ground and didnât grow. Some got
eaten by birds. But some fell on good soil and grew into big, happy plants! Jesus said, âListen to
Godâs words like good soil listens to seeds.â

Toss pretend seeds (paper bits) and show âsoilsâ (rocks, sand, dirt). Plant
seeds in cups to take home. Say the verse cupping ears for âlistenâ and nodding for
âunderstandâârepeat it loud and whispery!
Jesus rode a donkey into town, and people cheered, âHosanna!â They waved palm branches
and laid coats on the ground like a red carpet. It was a big parade for the King of love!

March in a circle waving green paper âpalmsâ and laying âcoatsâ (fabric scraps).
Cut out palm leaves from green paper. Say the verse waving hands high for âHosannaâ and
pointing forward for âSon of Davidââshout it like a cheer!
Jesus had a special dinner with His friends. He took bread, broke it, and said, âThis is like
meâremember me when you eat it.â Then He shared juice, too. It was a way to say, âIâll always
be with you.â

Break a cracker and pass it around (safely), saying, âRemember Jesus.â Draw
a table with bread and cups. Say the verse pointing to head for âmemoryâ and heart for
âmeâârepeat it softly three times!
Jesus died on a cross, and His friends were sad. But three days later, on Easter, the tomb was
empty! An angel said, âHeâs alive!â Jesus came back, smiling, and His friends danced with joy.
He beat deathâwhat a surprise!

Hide a âtombâ (box), then open it and shout âHeâs alive!â Make an empty tomb
with a paper plate and rolled-away stone. Say the verse shaking head for ânot hereâ and
jumping for ârisenââdo it with a big cheer!
Jesus walked on water to His friendsâ boat. Peter said, âMe too!â He stepped out and
walkedâwow!âbut then he got scared and started to sink. âHelp!â Jesus grabbed his hand and
pulled him up. âTrust me,â Jesus said.
âDonât be afraid; just believe.â (Mark 5:36, NIrV)
Step side to side on âwater,â sink down, then reach up for help. Make a boat
from a paper cup and straw mast. Say the verse waving hands for âdonât be afraidâ and pointing
up for âbelieveâârepeat it bravely!
A boy said, âDad, give me money!â He ran away and spent it all. Oops! He got hungry and sad,
so he went home. His dad didnât yellâhe ran out and hugged him tight. âYouâre back! Letâs have
a party!â Love wins!

Run in place, then give a group hug with âDad.â Draw a happy family hugging.
Say the verse hiding eyes for âlostâ and clapping for âfoundâârepeat with a happy shout!
A man couldnât see anything, but Jesus made mud, put it on his eyes, and said, âGo wash.â
Splash! The man opened his eyes and saw trees, people, everything! âThank you, Jesus!â he
shouted.

Cover your eyes, then âwashâ them off and blink bigââI can see!â Paint with
mud-colored watercolors. Say the verse covering eyes for âblindâ and pointing to them for
âseeâârepeat with a surprised voice!
Two guys built houses. The wise one built on rockâstrong and steady. The foolish one built on
sandâwobble, crash! When rain came, the rock house stood tall, but the sand house fell. Jesus
said, âBuild your life on my words!â
