God is my shepherd , and He takes care of me. I have everything I need. He lets me rest in green fields and walks with me by calm waters.
He helps my heart feel happy again ❤. He shows me the right way to go because He loves me so much.
Even if I walk through a dark, scary place , I won’t be afraid . God is with me! His stick and staff keep me safe.
He makes a big table of yummy food right in front of any troublemakers. He pours oil on my head to bless me , and my cup is so full it spills over!
Good things and love will follow me every day, and I’ll live with God in His house forever and ever.
Psalm 23 is about how God takes care of us like a shepherd looks after his sheep . He gives us what we need, keeps us safe, and makes us happy . Even when things get scary, God stays close and protects us. He promises to love us and let us be with Him forever!
Here’s a short part from the real Psalm 23 (in easy words from the New International Reader’s
Version):
- “The Lord is my shepherd. I have all that I need.” (Psalm 23:1)
- “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. You are with me.” (Psalm 23:4)
- “I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6)
These are short and easy to say over and over until you remember them:
1. “God is my shepherd, I have all I need.” (Psalm 23:1, simple version)
2. “I won’t be afraid, God is with me!” (Psalm 23:4, simple version)
3. “I’ll live with God forever.” (Psalm 23:6, simple version)
What We Learn: God is like a super kind shepherd who loves us and takes care of us every day. He gives us rest, food, and safety, even when things get tough or scary. We can trust Him to stay with us and bring us to His happy home forever!
