Sermon on the Mount

Jesus’ Big Talk on the Hill

One day, Jesus went up a big hill with His friends, and a huge crowd followed Him—grown-ups, kids, even some bouncy dogs! He sat down on the grass and said, “Hey, everyone! God’s got some super cool things to tell you about how to live with love and happiness. Listen up!”

The Happy Promises (The Beatitudes)

Jesus started with some special promises:

– “If you feel small or need help, God says you’re super lucky! Heaven’s yours—like a giant hug from Him!

– “When you’re sad, God’s with you. He’ll cheer you up like a best friend!

– “If you’re gentle and don’t push people around, God gives you the whole earth—like a big backyard!

– “Want to do good stuff? God will fill you up with happy feelings—like a big snack of goodness!

– “Be kind and forgive others, and God will be kind to you too!

– “Love God with a clean heart, and you’ll feel Him super close—like He’s right there!

– “Help people get along instead of fighting, and God says, ‘You’re my kid!’

– “If someone’s mean because you love God, don’t worry—God’s saving a special spot for you
in heaven!

Be Bright Like a Light!

Then Jesus said, “You’re like a bright light for the world! Don’t hide it under a bucket—let it shine so everyone sees how awesome God is. Be kind and helpful, like a superhero showing
God’s love!”

Love Even the Grumpy Ones ❤

Jesus told them, “You know how you love your friends? God says love everyone—even the
grumpy kids who take your toys!
Don’t just be nice to people who are nice to you; be extra
nice to everyone. That’s how God loves us!

Talking to God (The Lord’s Prayer)

“Want to talk to God?” Jesus asked. “Here’s a special way to pray:

– ‘Hi, God in heaven, You’re the best!

– Please make the world awesome like You want it.

– Give us food for today—yum!

– Forgive us when we mess up, and help us forgive others too.

– Keep us safe from bad stuff, and help us stay with You!

Pray like that, and God’s listening!”

Don’t Worry, Be Happy!

Jesus pointed at the birds flying by. “See those birds? They don’t worry about food, but God
feeds them. And look at the flowers—they’re so pretty, and God dresses them up! He’ll take
care of you too. Don’t worry about tomorrow—just trust God today!”

The Golden Rule

“Here’s a big rule,” Jesus said. “Treat people the way you want them to treat you! If you want
hugs, give hugs. If you want smiles, give smiles! 💖
It’s that simple!”

Build Your House Strong

At the end, Jesus told a story. “Imagine two houses. One’s built on squishy sand—oops, it falls when the rain comes!💦 The other’s on strong rock—it stays up! ⛰
Listening to me and
doing what I say is like building on rock. You’ll be super strong with God!”

The crowd cheered, “Wow, Jesus knows everything!” They left the hill feeling happy, ready to shine, love, pray, and trust God every day.💕
